Zion’s 4-Year-Old Program is designed for children who will turn 4 years old by August 1st of the school year they are enrolling. Parents have the option of enrolling their child for the full week program (Monday-Friday) or three (3) days a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays). Snacks are offered during the morning and for students staying in the afternoon.
Regular class meeting time is from 8:30am-11:30am, however, parents have the option of enrolling their child in our full day program which runs from 8:30am-5:30pm. For more information, please look under Full Day Program.
The 4-year-old program has three main focuses: Academic, biblical, and development/self-care.
- Academic - Children will work on learning to recognize and write their letters, numbers, and name. We will also work on learning phone numbers and address, the seasons, senses, and basic math skills.
- Biblical - in addition to bible stories, children will learn about character education, Fruits of the Spirit, memory verses, and songs.
- Developmental/Self-Care - Children will develop both fine and gross motor skills through a variety of activities, they will also participate in various visual perception activities.
